The evangelical churches in the US and the progressive churches here have different approaches and assumptions about the supernatural world. The overgrown apocalypticism of the US with its disastrous connection to politics is untenable, but so is Christianity that is essentially a progressive psychological exercise. Can there be space for a church that holds to the resurrection of Christ, strives for justice and accepts the validity of a fossil record? :)
